Off the Record:
Skills for Dating and Relationships

Off the Record is a group for young people wanting to build skills for dating and relationships.

It’s a confidential space to explore ideas and debunk unhelpful myths where we will talk about topics around intimacy, keeping yourself and others safe, learning in intimate relationships, how to communicate what you want and what you don’t want, and being respectful.

Topics we cover include

  • being trustworthy

  • confidence and self esteem

  • decision making, choice & boundaries

  • bodies and body care

  • attraction, dating, sex & relationships

  • the role of friendships

  • resources & information

  • respecting yourself & others 

Structure of the program

Off the Record runs as four 2-hour sessions.  

 About the Facilitators

The group is run by Stella Topaz and Anthony Severino, in conjunction with Sarah Jacek.

 Stella and Anthony are both somatic sex educators. Stella also has a background in sexual health nursing and Anthony in performing arts. Stella and Anthony have many years of experience working with young people and adults across gender diverse sexualities, relationship choices, cognitive skills and lived experience. Their expertise lies in helping people feel more at ease in their bodies and to trust themselves. Somatic sex education includes relationship skills, health and wellbeing, choice and consent and commination.

 Sarah Jacek is a clinical neuropsychologist and director of APT Psychosocial. Sarah has work in mental health and neurodiversity for over 15 years.
